Zed's agentic editing lets users delegate work to AI agents, follow progress live, and review changes before accepting them. This enables fluent human-AI collaboration where developers stay in control while leveraging AI speed for code generation, refactoring, and navigation tasks.

Zed supports any agent via ACP (Anthropic Claude Agent, Codex, OpenCode), allows users to bring their own API keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others, and enables parallel generation with multiple models configured simultaneously for comparison.
