VSCO, formerly known as VSCO Cam, is a photography mobile app for iOS and Android devices. The app was created by Joel Flory and Greg Lutze. The VSCO app allows users to capture photos in the app and edit them, using preset filters and editing tools.
Canvas enables seamless team collaboration by allowing users to invite collaborators, leave comments, and share feedback on mood boards. Users can share via email invitations or public links with access controls, keeping stylists, clients, and lighting teams aligned throughout pre-production.
Canvas consolidates inspiration gathering by supporting image uploads, VSCO community search, AI generation, video embedding, website links, and location mapping—all organized in customizable templates and layouts with text annotations for cohesive project planning.
VSCO Canvas includes an AI image generator that creates visuals from text prompts, allowing photographers to explore ideas and fill gaps in their mood boards when specific reference images aren't available. Generated images can be refined iteratively within the canvas.
VSCO Canvas lets photographers gather visual references, create mood boards, and organize inspiration in one place. Users can collect images from VSCO community, upload their own, generate AI references, and embed videos/websites to finalize creative direction before shooting, ensuring full preparation.
