Tell runs from the menu bar and displays interactive objects only when needed. The transparent desktop layer approach keeps modules directly on the desktop rather than using macOS widget stacks. Floating Mode hides window frames, and the Ambient Layer overlay provides compact information access via keyboard shortcut.
Tell's Shortcuts module allows users to create floating desktop launch points for apps, folders, and workflows. Combined with global hotkey control in Tell Pro, users can trigger these shortcuts from anywhere on their Mac without cluttering the dock or menu bar.
