SlapWindows

Slap your Windows, it screams back

Website slapwindows.site
Overview

What it is

I built this product inspired by slapmac.com. Meet SlapWindows — the most unnecessary app you'll buy this year. And you'll love every second of it. Tired of your laptop just sitting there, silently judging you? Now it fights back. SlapWindows listens through your microphone and the moment it detects a slap on your desk or laptop lid — it screams, moans, farts, or dramatically protests in one of 7 hilarious voice packs. Your coworkers will have questions. You will have no regrets.

Intent

I need it when

Run a lightweight app that doesn't clutter my desktop or drain battery

SlapWindows runs silently in the system tray with no dock icon, minimizing visual clutter and resource consumption while remaining always available for slap detection via microphone.

Customize my laptop's audio responses with my own voice or sounds

SlapWindows allows you to upload custom MP3 or WAV files through Settings, enabling you to replace default packs with your own voice, music, or sound effects for fully personalized reactions.

Add fun and personality to my work laptop with humorous sound effects

SlapWindows plays entertaining sounds when you physically slap your laptop or desk, with 12 voice packs (Angry, Metal, Santa, Robot, Evil Laugh, etc.) plus custom sound upload capability, turning mundane work interactions into playful moments.

Get audio feedback when connecting or disconnecting USB devices

The USB Sound Pack feature makes your laptop react with moaning sounds each time you plug in or unplug a USB device, adding an extra layer of interactive feedback beyond slap detection.

Drop

Not a fit when

  • User does not have a Windows 10 or 11 computer
  • User's laptop or computer does not have a working microphone
  • User works in a quiet office or shared workspace where sound effects would be disruptive
  • User requires a refund policy (product explicitly states all sales final, no refunds)
  • User needs cross-platform support (macOS users should use SlapMac instead)
