Access local development environment and tools remotely without cloud setup

Unlike Claude Code on the web which runs in cloud infrastructure, Remote Control executes on the user's machine, keeping filesystem, MCP servers, tools, and project configuration available remotely. This eliminates the need to clone repos or reconfigure environments on cloud instances.

Continue a local coding session from a different device or location

Remote Control lets users start a Claude Code task on their desktop, then pick it up from a phone, tablet, or browser on another computer. The local session keeps running on the original machine while the web/mobile interface provides remote access, maintaining full access to local files, MCP servers, and project configuration.

Work on code from multiple surfaces without losing context or interrupting workflow

Remote Control syncs conversation state across all connected devices, allowing users to send messages from terminal, browser, and phone interchangeably. Sessions automatically reconnect if the laptop sleeps or network drops, preserving the full conversation history and local environment state.

Receive notifications when long-running tasks complete or Claude needs input

Remote Control supports mobile push notifications (requires Claude Code v2.1.110+) that alert users when tasks finish or decisions are needed, allowing asynchronous work monitoring without constantly checking the interface.
