Chunk's Templates and Routines feature lets users save ideal day structures and apply them automatically on selected weekdays. The app prevents duplication and allows editing templates to update all scheduled instances, eliminating manual daily setup.
Chunk syncs two-way with Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar, displaying external events alongside custom time blocks. Users can drag tasks from Apple Reminders or Chunk's own task lists directly onto the timeline to schedule them, creating a unified day view.
Chunk includes a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that integrates with Claude Desktop. Users can describe scheduling needs in natural language, and Claude reads/writes events and tasks directly from the on-device database—no data leaves the Mac.
Chunk's Analytics dashboard visualizes seven days of scheduled time, showing total hours, average daily hours, weekday distribution, and block-length mix. This helps users understand their planning rhythm and identify over- or under-scheduled days.
Chunk provides a visual timeline interface where users drag-and-drop to create color-coded time blocks for the day or week. The menu-bar design keeps the planner one keystroke away (Cmd+/) without breaking focus, and live countdown notifications help users stay on track through each block.
